The textile industry relies heavily on water for its own survival, consuming millions of gallons of processed water every day. As a consequence, according to some studies, 20% of all fresh water pollution is made by textile treatment and dyeing.
In response to this, Design Floe re-uses water when possible and is currently collecting rainwater to reduce the amount of water wasted in her drawing and dyeing processes. With an abundant amount of rain in the UK, not only is this cost effective but also considerate of the natural environment, extending our collaboration with nature and ensuring this process is as sustainable as possible.
