Natural dyeing tells a story. This method of dyeing fabric is renewable, less toxic and has minimal environmental impact. Natural dyes come from natural resources and are not harmful to the environment. In addition to this, they are biodegradable and are obtained from renewable sources that can be harnessed without imposing harm to the environment.
Obtaining colour from botanicals, plant matter, food waste and minerals provide much less of a health risk to the dyer and are less much less toxic to the environment than using synthetic dyes.
We are fascinated by the colour variation that can be achieved using natural material; from hibiscus to indigo, iron and madder. We are continuing to research and develop our skills of using natural dye sources and strives to create new and innovative ways of working, producing and collaborating with nature.
